Our Story

Our Mission: “Delivering Joy With A Dash of Incredible (local) Tastes”.

Artisan ice cream made using local ingredients from Cape Cod farmers, food artisans and friends . Our commercial kitchen called “27 below”, is where we experiment and create “Farm to Scoop” flavors. The Local Scoop homemade hard serve ice cream is being scooped at The Nut House in Ptown, and sold in pints at Friends Market in Orleans. Cape Cod pops are sold across the Cape at specialty shops.

We are passionate about our community, our farmers and local food artisans. Homemade “Farm to Scoop” ice cream and frozen yogurt, using locally sourced ingredients. We have two Food Trucks to take our show on the road. The Local Scoop is home to the Cape Cod Pop - hand crafted artisan bars and popsicles. We take our homemade ice cream, dip in chocolate and sprinkle with local Cape Cod ingredients. For example - Salted Caramel Ice Cream, dipped in chocolate, sprinkled with Cape Cod Sea Salt and topped with MCrea’s Caramel and a pretzel….
All of our ice cream is homemade, on-site, in small batches. We get our dairy from Rhode Island and CT, and use local Cape Cod ingredients to create our flavors. Rum Raisin is made w/ Truro Vineyards Spiced Rum, Salted Caramel has Cape Cod Sea Salt, Lavender Honey includes ingredients from both Northeast Honey and Cape Cod Lavender Farm , Java is made with Snowy Owl Coffee from Brewster…..…

We source our ingredients from local farmers & food artisans, many from  the farmers markets where we participate:
